How to Schedule a Telehealth Visit

Community Family Medicine is now proud to offer telemedicine visits to its patients. These visits are provided in a HIPAA and GDPR-compliant online platform and there is nothing to download or install.

Log into the patient portal like you would to schedule any appointment. After logging in and arriving at your patient Dashboard, hover over ‘Appointments’ in the menu on the left side of the screen and select ‘New Appointment'.

This navigates you to the ‘Schedule Appointment’ page. From here, select the drop-down arrow to the right of ‘Facility’ and change the defaulted selection to ‘Telemedicine’.

Continue to fill out the required fields (indicated by red asterisks) and select a time to schedule the appointment.

After selecting a time and completing the appointment scheduling, you will receive an email that contains a hyperlink to the telemedicine portal.

You can access the telemedicine visit via your computer or mobile device as long as you have access to the following tools:
  • Webcam (including built-in computer webcams and mobile phone cameras)
  • Microphone (including built-in computer microphones and mobile microphones)
  • Computer: Chrome, Firefox, or Safari browsers
  • Mobile: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Samsung mobile browser
